Download was an internet guru in the early 2000's and was arrested for possessing over $80 million worth of pirated material. After being tried and found unable to reimburse the various industries for he harms he caused, he was sentenced to 153 years in prison. While in prison he educated himself in electromagnetism and the applications thereof regarding information and the brain. After serving seven years in prison, he received a doctorates in electromagnetic studies. Using this knowledge and some ingenuity he comprised a small device in prison to reverse the magnetism of his cell wall, creating a hole, and he walked out.
Gone into hiding, he developed a containment suit that can harness the power of stored memory. Effectively turning his own brain into a hard drive that can store nearly infinite data, this suit not only can store data through the capture lens directly into his brain for later use, but can re-animate any downloaded material produced from his mind through the gauntlet on his right arm. Believing this to be his weapon against what he also believes is a defunct government, he finishes the containment suit with electron plated steel which due to the dense electromagnetic structure is unbreakable.

Caucasian
This is a concept for the main character that will be the heroine of this comic. This is Grid. Her power(s) are derived from the concept of a multiverse, in that each universe is separated by a membrane that helps them avoid colliding with one another, called the Gridplane. Grid is the appointed overseer of the Gridplane, and as a result can transport any item to or from this place. She also has the ability to use pure energy from the Gridplane (Which is generated from the rotation of each universe) for her own ends. She does not know the limits to this power and so far hasn't quite harnessed it.
Grid will be released as a character who grew up as an orphan. Her mother will have left her at a public park and when the authorities bring her to an orphanage she is adopted by a family who could not conceive. Unfortunately her new mother will be deceased due to either accident or illness, driving her father into poor habits such as gambling and excess drinking. When a debt of her father's mounts, the collectors kidnap Grid (who does not have powers yet), and hold her ransom for the owed money. Her father, stricken with guilt, robs a series of ATM patrons to come up with the missing money, but when he arrives the collectors take the money and beat him. To illustrate their level of seriousness to her father, they gouge her eyes, leaving her blind and unconscious. When her father recovers her, he goes on a drinking binge and dies the very next day of alcohol poisoning.
Given to an orphanage for a second time, she is visited one day by a stranger. This stranger explains that he has seen her tormenting and offers her a chance for justice, so long as she never resorts to vigilante justice and always upholds higher morals and standards. When she accepts, a warm wind wraps around her body and when the wind leaves she is able to see...
